We live on a rural acre farm on the outskirts East of Ottawa ON Canada. My husband and I were both born and raised in Ontario. We have two beautiful adult-aged daughters, which I'm sure you will meet in future posts and we can't forget our pets!
After spending the first of our 24 years as a couple, in the suburbia raising our kids, we knew we would one day end up in the country. We spent many weekends driving down rural roads when the kids were young, looking for the perfect country home and property.
We finally have found our forever home.
We found an acreage that was perfect- adorned with the cutest Victorian style farmhouse. We developed the gardens and added our personal touches in our home and on our property. The projects seem to always keep growing! In the midst of discovering our new community and property, an idea was born. During the Pandemic of Covid-19 in the Winter season of 2020, I realized that I wanted to become a Flower Farmer. A little side-hustle to prepare for retirement one day. Something creative that would fuel my desire to create and work with my hands.
I've been gardening for most of my adult life and growing flowers was always a passion of mine. The garden was my escape. A space to unwind, reflect, immerse myself in the present moment. Flowers are our way of sharing the beauty of nature. Gardening is my therapy of choice. It's actually proven that working with dirt increases serotonin production which can make you feel relaxed and happier. Bring on the compost!!!
Flowers are often shared with loved ones in their happiest of moments and their saddest. We want to be apart of the shared special moments in your life. The community has been good to us and we want to bring you just a little bit of beauty and joy through the power of a simple bloom. Thank you for supporting our little flower farm and everyone is welcomed.
